I choose the picture that says,
“You aren’t being punished, you just haven’t been rewarded yet”. There were a
lot of good choices to pick from, but I personally connect to this one. There
have been several moments in my life when I’ve wondered, “why is this happening
to me”. For the most part, the once negative outcomes have turned out to benefit
me in the future. However, I’m not here to talk about myself. Just weeks ago, I
would not have considered this picture to be a piece of writing. Writing to me
was an essay or a novel. This artifact’s audience is the entire human
population. These ten words apply to every single human, because everyone
experiences tough times and misfortunes. Throughout the last six weeks we
talked about how knowledge can be learned through teaching or acquisition. The
message in this picture can only be learned through acquisition. The exigence is a problem everyone experiences,
which is disappointment and let down. The writing style is very simple. The
writer got across a very complex and important message in just ten words. This
has to do with the fact that it’s a picture. If this message was five sentences
long, the reader might be confused. The length eliminates the potential for the
reader to become bored from reading the artifact. The artsy flavor adds to the
message as well. The diagonal words and the colorful background give off a
happy message. This picture shows the power writing can have. A picture like
this one could change someone’s life around in the matter of seconds.
