Communties journal #1
The word
community has many different meanings. I define a community as a group of
people who relate because of similarities. These similarities can range from
having common interests to living in the same area. There are many different
types and ways to view communities. People in communities tend to have the same
values and goals. For example, people who practice Christianity go to a Christian
church. All these people have similar beliefs and are part of a community. I am
part of many communities myself. By living in Degraff dorm as a student at
Florida State University, I am part of a community. My peers and I are all on similar
schedules with the same objective. Most of us want to learn and eventually
become graduates of Florida State University. Writing has many key components to
it, and within it there are various amounts of communities. Many types of
writings relate to one another. They can relate in ways such as the purpose, the
time period they were written in, and the format of the writing. All these
things seen in writing can help to form communities. A community is composed of
things that relate to eachother. This is also the same for many types of
writings. Writings are unique in their own way, but are also very similar. A community
does not have to be a person or object, but rather have things in common.
Without the existence of Communities, writings would not be the way they are
today.
