Writing is the activity or skill of marketing coherent words on paper and composing text. Writing is a tool used by everyone at some point in their life. Writing is often used to express feelings. Some other ways writing is used is to inform the audience about a topic and educating one about something. Writing is a huge aspect of everyone’s lives. Writing encompasses things such as twitter, texting, and other popular forms of social media. Although it isn’t a tangible form of writing, ideas and thoughts are still being expressed with others through text. Writing is the main way of communication throughout the world. In today’s day in age, texting is the most popular way of communication we utilize. Back in the day, things such as letters and notes were used as the main ways of communication. Authors use writing as their happy place where they can write down what is in their creative mind and express themselves. Many people enjoy things such as poetry, because it is very easy to relate with what the poet is writing about and as a result it gives the reader a sense of complacency. Writing is used to expand cultures and spread knowledge. Writing teaches us that we all express things in a unique way whether it is the tone used in the writing or the way in which the individual words his writing. When you look at a newspaper, all you see is words. Newspapers are used to inform people about recent events, the stock market, sports, and even comics. There are so many different forms of writing, all which are used for different purposes. Studying writing is vital for the growth of our society. As mentioned before, writing is really the only way of communication. Communication is how people establish relationships, make friends, and relay information. Without writing, no one would know who won last night’s baseball game or who is ahead in the presidential polls. It is very important for people to be familiar with the different writing styles and tones. Additionally it is important to be aware that social media has drastically changed how we think of writing. Writing does not need to be formatted and proper to be considered writing. This is exemplified on twitter especially. Undeniably writing is very important and the world should continue to study it.
