#whyistayed Tony Miele

People have a lot of views on a lot of different things and I believe that some people make decisions without really thinking them through. The hashtag that I chose to write about is #whyistayed which doesn't really have to do with reason, but as to stupidity. I hate to bash on those who stayed after their lovers hurt them but depending on how someone was raised points of views tend to change. This hashtag is quite bland so I thought that it pertains to personality rather than just writing. However each hashtag does contain its own form of writing simply because it is in a sense language. All language shows character and personality so reading tweets and reading up on this hashtag about the feminist movement or whatever it may be, can all relate to the same type of personality. Even though people speak in different ways and may use different slang, grammar, or even literal language, they may be trying to put across the same idea. I'm going to try to refrain from bashing on the women who stayed with their abusive husbands and rather focus on the writing that correlates to this hashtag. Many of the posts held a very personal and deep connection to the topic simply because it is such a sensitive topic that is being touched upon. They are pulling from their darkest memories in attempt to explain themselves and practically justify their actions, which can't always be justified. All in all, this hashtag taught me that writing doesn't always come in the same tone, even if they are delivering the same message.
